10 000 service applications

10000

Today, after almost exactly a year since the official launch of the Center ten thousandth anniversary service application was filed for proton spectrum by user with code XYZ. Congratulations to us and our Users! We hope that the spectrum was up to expectations.

The unique technique

Dear Users,

In the Center we have developed a unique technique for measuring NMR spectra of carbon 12C. In connection with this since tomorrow measurements application of 13C will not be accepted. Note that samples for 12C spectra measurement must be prepared in special U-shaped square tubes. Applications for the new method of measurement shall be approved by all members of the Center.
You can download the application form here.

Timetable during March holidays

On Friday, March 7, we have shortened working day and on Monday, March 10 the Center is not working.

Magnetless resonance spectrometer is up and running

After a long break the Tecmag Redstone spectrometer (NQR and NMR spectra of magnetically ordered materials in zero external magnetic field) became operational again. People started to pass their first samples to the Center. The figures show the NMR signal of bulk 57Fe nuclei and samples of the Fe100-xVx type and others.

New probehead

UV-NMR probe
As a result of self-sacrificing actions of our eminent staff a new 500 MHz low-temperature inverse two-channel 1H/13C NMR probehead which is capable to measure UV absorption and NMR spectra simultaneously appeared in our Center.

10,000

Today, the total run time of requests for measuring spectra since the official launch of the Center on the 1st of April 2013 exceeded 10,000 hours. And this is without service spectra.

First 3D NMR spectrum

The first HNCO 3D NMR spectrum of uniformly 13C and 15N labeled ubiquitin was recorded in our Center for a new Biomolecular NMR Laboratory working under the leadership of N. R. Skrynnikov. The Laboratory stuff particularly thank our specialist M. A. Vovk.

Dr. Marco Braun

Dr. Marco Braun from “NMR Service GmbH”, Germany, has arrived for diagnosing and tuning our Tecmag Redstone spectrometer.
